Computing Intent Statement:
Technology is ever present and ever changing in our world
today and we would like all children to enjoy using technology
safely and confidently across a range of different areas of the
curriculum. We want to ensure that children find, analyse,
explore, exchange and create information in a creative
way. Learning and teaching within the computing curriculum
empowers children to become digitally confident in their daily
lives which helps to prepare them to become independent users
of technology beyond the classroom.
Computing enables pupils to use computational thinking and creativity. It has links with Maths, Science and Design and Technology and provides insights into natural and artificial systems. Children will be taught Information Technology, Computer Science and Digital literacy.
Children will be able to use computers to express themselves and develop their ideas through technology at a level suitable for the future work place and the digital world in which we live.
