School Council

A School Council is a group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to help improve/develop their school.

Each year, every class vote to elect two representatives to become members of the school council. The council meet each half term to discuss issues and problems in and around school.

Our School Council have achieved the following over the past year:-

  • Annual Macmillan Coffee Morning which builds more success each year.
  • New playground equipment
  • Advocating for cleaner paths around school
  • Hosted and organised the first Greenland’s Got Talent since lockdown!
  • Half-termly meetings
  • Introduced lunchtime awards
  • Achieved the ‘Food For Life’ silver award
  • Opened the Greenland’s garden where we grow fresh produce in the summertime
  • Termly litter picking
  • Introduced toilet passes
  • Entered the ‘Fairtrade Challenge’ with one of our Year 4’s being selected as a winner!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Friday 26th September 2025

Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a total success! Each year, we raise more & more for such a great charity and enjoy yummy cake & coffee at the same time! We raised £324.74 Thanks so much to everyone who got involved and to Miss Ainsworth, Y4 and the school council it's always a highlight!
