Role of Governors

In our school, Governors play a very active part in the life of the school. They meet at least once every term and work with the Headteacher and the staff to set high standards, agree on values and decide upon targets for making the school even better. Parent Governors are elected by the parents and serve, as other governors do, for up to four years. They are your representatives on the Governing Body and are always willing to listen and to make sure that communications with parents are both informative and easy to read.

Once a year, a School Profile is published on the internet. This has replaced, to some extent, the Annual Governors Report to parents. We believe in building a strong partnership with parents and the local community in order to help every child in our school and we welcome your continued involvement and support.
