The School field!
During lockdown, the school field was left to grow wild, so when we came back in September the grass was too long to play on. It was so high, you could have easily hidden in it! Great for playing Hide and Seek, but useless for playing football. Because it was so long, the workmen had to fix it in three steps. Firstly, they cut the grass with a mower pulled by a tractor. Then, it was turned and placed in long rows by a second machine. Finally, a tractor pulling a baler rolled up the grass ready for collection. Year 5 watched the baler at work and then after school Mrs Hatch took some photos of them removing the bales. The children can now play on the field again!
